Bio: August Gardner

August Gardner is a rising 3L at the West Virginia University College of Law. In the fall of 2007, she took WVU Law’s Women’s Issues in Mexico Course with Distinguished Visiting Professor Patricia Begne from the University of Guanajuato. That course inspired her to study abroad at the University of Guanajuato. Ms. Gardner graduated magna cum laude from Bethany College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Political Science. Last summer, she interned at the Public Defender in Washington, D.C., as an Intern Investigator. Upon return from Mexico, she will be taking summer classes.

About the Program

Legal Study in Mexico Blog

The Legal Study in Mexico program offers WVU College of Law and other qualifying students the opportunity to study international and comparative law in Guanajuato, Mexico. Lectures and seminars are led by WVU law professors and professors from the University of Guanajuato. All lectures are in English. The program includes visits to Mexican legal institutions, as well as classes at the University of Guanajuato and other locations around the city.
